Staying With What’s Here
A short inquiry into presence, without fixing or forcing.
Before reading, take one slow breath.
Nothing needs to change for this to work.
In the previous inquiry, you were invited to notice what you usually rush past.
Whatever showed up — something clear, something vague, or nothing at all — was enough.
This isn’t about understanding that experience.
It’s about staying with it.
Inquiry
Bring your attention back to whatever you noticed before.
If nothing specific comes to mind, simply notice that.
Then, gently ask yourself:
What happens when I don’t try to move away from this?
You’re not looking for insight.
You’re noticing movement — tightening, softening, impatience, curiosity, resistance.
Let it be exactly as it is.
You might feel the urge to explain this to yourself.
If so, notice that urge too.
Nothing here needs fixing.
